Tralee Community Care & Action LTD

Tralee Community Care & Action LTD was set up in Jan 2002, under FAS Social Economy Project.  In Jan 2006 it was taken over by the Dept. of Community Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs under the Community Services Programme, and is administered by Pobal.

The purpose for Tralee Community Care & Action is to provide low cost nutritious
In-house meals & meals on wheels to older  and other vulnerable groups.

We currently deliver 100 meals a day to older  people in Tralee, Fenit, Ballymacelligott and other areas within close proximity to Tralee, a local school avails of the service where 90 meals a day are delivered.

We also provide meals to the Crèche and Play group at the centre.
The in-house service caters for approx. 20 people per day where.  This also offers an opportunity for  people to socialize with each other and the staff at Cumann Iosaef.
The service has previously received valuable funding from Ring Of Kerry and is also in receipt of an annual grant from the HSE and Pobal.
